One of the first sculptures I made after my second child was born, my children and I often used to sit like this when they were small. They both used to want to sit on my lap at the same time, so sat on one knee each.

A piece inspired by the artist's travels in South East Asia. When Caroline met this woman, on Ko Samui in Thailand, she was gazing reflectively out to sea in this very pose.

This work was inspired by a sketch the artist made whilst on holiday in Greece of a young girl looking out to sea, wearing a swimming costume. The drawing showed the girl's back. The sculpture completes the picture.
